- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup fresh blackberries, plus more for garnish
- 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds (culinary grade)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.
- Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- In another bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and dried lavender. Gradually add to the flour mixture, gently folding in blackberries and white chocolate chips.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface, pat into a circle 1 inch thick, cut into wedges, and place on a lined baking sheet. Bake at 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm with melted white chocolate or whipped cream.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days or refrigerate for about a week.
- Frozen blackberries can be used, but thaw and drain them before adding to the dough.
- Lavender can be omitted or substituted with another favorite herb or flavor.
