Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and slice them into thin, even rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
- In a mixing bowl, mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Add lemon juice if desired, then toss the banana slices to coat.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the coated banana slices in a single layer.
- Set the air fryer to 325°F (160°C) and cook for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Monitor closely to avoid burning.
Notes
- Allow banana chips to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
- Best enjoyed within a week, but can be kept longer in the refrigerator.
- For a vegan option, ensure the granulated sugar used is labeled as vegan.
- Reheat in the air fryer at a lower temperature for 3-5 minutes to restore crunch.
