Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend for best flavor)
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for toppings
- Your favorite condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to avoid overmixing and keep the burgers tender.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form each into a patty, making an indentation in the middle.
- Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and place the patties on it. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and add a slice of cheddar cheese for the last couple of minutes.
- Toast the burger buns lightly, then layer each with a patty, melted cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles. Add your preferred condiments.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Reheat patties in a skillet to maintain juiciness.
- Substitute ground beef with turkey, chicken, or plant-based options for a healthier twist.
