Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 cup carrots, julienned
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 2 green onions, chopped for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a large pan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, garlic, and onions. Cook until the beef is browned and onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add julienned carrots and sliced bell peppers to the beef mixture. Stir to combine and cook for another 3-4 minutes until vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.
- Pour in soy sauce and sesame oil over the mixture. Stir well and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes on low heat to meld the flavors.
- Assemble the bowl by placing cooked rice in a bowl, topping with the beef and vegetable mixture, and garnishing with green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
- For longer storage, freeze the beef mixture in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
- Pair with fresh cucumber slices, side salads, kimchi, or pickled vegetables for a complete meal.
