  • 1 bag of frozen tater tots
  • 1 lb of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup of BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups of shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1/2 cup of onions, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup of chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the tater tots packaging. Spread the frozen tater tots on a baking sheet and season with salt and pepper. Bake until golden brown and crispy.
  2. In a casserole dish, layer half of the crispy tater tots. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over the tater tots, drizzle half of the BBQ sauce, and add the diced onions.
  3. Sprinkle one cup of shredded cheese over the layers. Repeat the layering with the remaining tater tots, bacon, BBQ sauce, onions, and top with the remaining cheese.
  4. Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
