- 2 large apples, diced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Caramel sauce, for drizzling
Instructions
- Prepare the apples by dicing them and mixing with cinnamon and sugar.
- Make the batter by combining flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in one bowl, and whisking milk, egg, and melted butter in another. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples gently into the batter.
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC), line a baking sheet with parchment, and spoon dollops of batter onto the sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Store cooled fritters in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or a week in the refrigerator.
- Freeze fritters individually wrapped for longer storage.
